Who is feeding Kenyans on GMO?

I will not eat white Ugali again even if it means starving, i will instead opt for the brown sticky hard to cook millet meal, but again on second thought i have seen our brothers and sisters starving on TV and I doubt if i want to be like them at least not by choice. So it means i have to eat, but do i eat everything? nop! i have a choice so lets try eat something different and so as a rule me and my house we will be eating an alternative.

This is only possible because i have a choice, what of those who don't have a choice, they accept everything that comes their way just to fill their empty stomach, am told so hungry are these people that their stomachs seized rumbling years ago, even rumbling needs some energy! So whats the option available now that they are in dire need of food? well they will eat and eat everything and anything. I ask my self if Mututho the guy who made sure we don't consume products from EABL until he says so means business by saying GMO is being distributed in the country then am worried.

Believe it or not we have been consuming GMOs in the country as far back as 2007. After speaking to Prof. Miriam Kinywa the chair of NBA, John Mututho the chair of PSC on Agriculture, David Murumba the line manager at Farm Feeds i am convinced i don't need to talk to you I mean to anyone else. Mututho says he has evidence of GMO in the country as seen on TV, Miriam admits  GMO has found its way into the country without permit and Murumba says the chicken we eat have their genes responsible for growth enhanced (modified) to make the broilers grow faster (32 days).

So factually 75% of foods off the supermarket shelves have some GMO in them, 9 out of 10% of all processed food have GMO in them while corn and maize is the leading GMO crops. Are shocked? well google Canadian research and read between the lines to get chills in the bone.

In 2009 a company know as Louis  DreyFus imported over 280, 000 tons of GMO Maize from South africa, (look it up on  agriculture forestry and fisheries republic of South Africa - 2010 GMO permits) under license 032 - 037. At the same time more developed countries imported quite insignificant quantities of the same. So this maize was allegedly exported to Iran, something no one can verify, if you can be my guest. Worst case scenario is that it found its way back and we all had a decent meal.

That aside the current thorn in the flesh is the GMO consignment in the country! I ask who is responsible? Monsanto, rings a bell? well the top Europe executives met some top government officials here about three  months ago and had a discussion with them closed door. Monsanto is reputed for GMO seeds and of cause their move to take over the world seed market. http://monsantopoly.org/ Of cause they breed maize in SA so you can guess what they export.

The consignment is headed to the hunger stricken areas and again Kenyans will be fed on GMO maize, am glad i don't live in those areas, neither am i eating maize meal again! To farmers ever planted MON 810, NK603 or BT 11 thats GMO seeds from MONsanto, well you have contributed to feeding Kenyans on GMO. And joining you in that list is the top government officials who met Monsanto executives and are looking to make money ahead of 2012 campaigns, Importers of GMO crops and Supermarket chains.

Fact- one supermarket chain is known to be stocking 75% imported products and 15% local products against the rule that requires vice versa. It is know that GMO foods are 40% cheaper than organic so the margins are super! well let me advice whoever cooks for me to switch to Chapati and rice but not GOLDEN RICE that was genetically modified and vitamin A gene inserted in its genetic make up. If you know vitamins well then you know it occurs naturally!

I will be telling you sometimes later about Monsanto's attempt to cut to the chase you will be shocked!
